The translucent wall is placed in the laboratory for Alfred Nobel, in this case, Nobel has to look through the wall to see the laboratory for Jacques Yves Coust and this design embodies the concept of "nature's veil" from his quote. The ramp connecting Nobel's laboratory to Jacques Yves Coust's laboratory mobilised external blue lumination creating a visual effect of a flickering benthal tunnel.
